How do I access the WIFI?

You can use your eduroam-access if you have one. Alternatively, we can give you access individually if you go to the conference office in P7. There you will get the name and the corresponding password.

I can’t find the Virtual Venue! How do I get there?

This is the link to the Virtual Venue: https://66rai.virtual-venue.io. You can also find the link on the homepage of our website: 66rai.uni-mainz.de
You can sign in using the username and password which you selected during registration.

I lost my username/password for the Virtual Venue – what do I do?

Please contact the conference office, write us an email, or call our conference hotline.

How can I contact the conference support?

You can contact us during the conference using one of the following:

    • in the conference office (Room P7 – Philosophicum)

You can also find us on Twitter (@66RAI_Mainz) and Facebook (66RAIMainz). You are invited to follow us on these platforms, since we will also communicate short-term information such as last-minute changes to the schedule there.

Can I store my luggage somewhere?

Yes, the conference office in P7 will have plenty of space. It will be staffed around the clock during the conference.

I can only attend for one day. / I can only sign up in person.

You can purchase single-day tickets for 50€. You can also sign up for the whole conference in person, the prices can be found on our website (pricelist). Both can be done on Monday and Wednesday at the registration desk in front of P2. Please note that we only accept cash payments in Euro!

What are the rules concerning hygene?

Because of the currently high number of cases in Germany we ask all attendees to adhere to the following basic rules to ensure a safe conference experience for everyone:

    • Please wear a mask inside the conference halls. If you do not have a mask, the conference office will provide you with one free of charge.
    • Feel free to move longer discussions outside of the building.
    • If possible, maintain distance from the person(s) seated next to you.
    • Please wash and disinfect your hands regularly. Disinfectant will be provided.
    • If you experience any symptoms (fever, cough etc.) which might indicate an infection with COVID-19, we urge you to only attend virtually.

Where can I find the up-to-date conference program?

Please visit our website and click 'program'. In case anything changes, we will update the program accordingly. We will also spread any relevant information on Twitter, so feel free to follow us (@66RAI_Mainz)!

Where can I get something to eat in the vicinity of the conference venue?

You can use the cafeterias on campus. They do not accept cash, you can however get a guest card from the card charging station located in every cafeteria by inserting banknotes. Cafeteria staff will be happy to answer any of your questions.

On campus you can find the following cafeterias:

    • Cafeteria in the Mensa, address: Staudingerweg 15
    • Cafeteria in the Haus Recht und Wirtschaft, address: Jakob-Welder-Weg 9
    • Cafeteria in the Philosophicum “Ins Grüne”, address: Jakob-Welder-Weg 18
    • Cafeteria in the Georg-Forster-Gebäude, address: Jakob-Welder-Weg 12

Additionally, there are two restaurants on campus near the Alte Mensa (Johann-Joachim-Becher-Weg 3-9):

    • Kulturcafé
    • Baron 

Lastly there is also the Imbiss Diwan directly across from the venue (Johann-Joachim-Becher-Weg 25).
